Elementary School

Engaging, Hands-on Learning

Our Elementary School provides a dynamic and engaging learning environment, with a strong emphasis on hands-on experiences that ignite curiosity and encourage critical thinking. Our dual curriculum, encompassing both Hebrew and English, ensures a comprehensive and well-rounded education, preparing students for academic excellence across all disciplines. Through interactive lessons, creative projects, and real-world applications, we foster not only a love for learning but also the skills necessary for higher-level thinking and problem-solving.

Our rigorous academic program, combined with a focus on individual growth, has led many of our students to excel in middle school GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) programs and gain acceptance into competitive middle schools. By fostering a love for learning and developing strong foundational skills, we ensure that our students are well-prepared for advanced educational opportunities.

Special Programs

Music Education

Our music program introduces our youngest ECE students to music through hands-on instruction with our trained music specialist. This early exposure encourages children to discover and develop their musical talents. As they progress to K through 5th grade, students focus on strengthening their instrumental skills on piano keyboards and barred instruments such as the xylophone, metallophone, and glockenspiel. They also have the opportunity to join either the chorus or concert band, which includes woodwinds, brass, percussion, and piano.

In these classes, students advance their musical abilities by learning to read and notate music, practice ear training, and explore basic music theory. By the third grade, students are introduced to essential elements like recognizing melodic contour, understanding phrase length, and identifying harmonic personalities (such as major and minor). Our students gain a well-rounded musical foundation that supports both their creativity and technical growth.

Arts Program

Students will engage in art projects that enhance understanding of art concepts and art history, support learning of content curriculum, and encourage creative expression.

Students will:

  • Explore the seven elements of art within student compositions: line, form, value, shape, space, texture, and color

  • Discuss famous artists and create art inspired by their signature styles - 4th and 5th grade unit on Surrealism and Salvador Dali, creating clay sculptures inspired by his work

  • Use a variety of media such as pastels, watercolor, acrylic, clay, and textiles

  • Connect art to global experiences

PE/Sports Program

Our sports program promotes physical fitness and teamwork, offering a variety of activities and competitive sports teams such as basketball and soccer, where students can excel and showcase their athletic abilities. They participate in exercises to build strength and stamina, and engage in games to develop balance, agility, and coordination.

Science Education

Serves as a foundation for more advanced ideas that prepare them for life in an increasingly complex scientific and technological world. While using effective instructional methodologies, including hands-on active learning, inquiry, integration of disciplines and content areas, and multi-sensory methods.

Our program meets the NGSS science-content standards in 3 domains (life science, earth science, and physical science) for the next generation of citizens, prepared with the knowledge and thinking capacities to manage the 21st century.
